Host a Summer Movie Marathon at Woodview at Randolph

Film Reel

Relax this summer in your apartment at Woodview at Randolph and take a break from the Maryland heat. Now is a great time to watch a great movie. This week the blog has some suggestions for classic summer-themed movies that will brighten up your summer.

The Sandlot (1993)

Scotty Smalls spends a memorable summer out on the sandlot playing baseball with some new friends. Smalls and his friends practice their pitches, run bases, and fend off the Beast — their mysterious neighbor’s English Mastiff. This is a great movie to watch to throw it back to your childhood years playing outside and having fun in the sun.

Memorable Quote: “You’re killing me Smalls! These are s’more’s stuff! Ok, pay attention. First you take the graham, you stick the chocolate on the graham. Then you roast the ‘mallow. When the ‘mallow’s flaming... you stick it on the chocolate. Then cover with the other end. Then you scarf. Kind of messy, but good! Try some!”

When Harry Met Sally... (1989)

Harry and Sally have known each other for years, and are very good friends, but they fear sex would ruin the friendship. Watch this for a heartfelt look into friendship, love, and what it takes to make a relationship work.

Memorable Quote: “I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”

What About Bob? (1991)

A successful psychotherapist loses his mind after one of his most dependent patients, an obsessive-compulsive neurotic, tracks him down during his family vacation. Whether you take away a few life lessons about the value of baby steps or you just want a fun movie, this one’s sure to give you plenty of laughs.

Memorable Quote: “There are two types of people in this world: Those who like Neil Diamond, and those who don't. My ex-wife loves him.”
